Rant

i don’t think people understand how much guts it takes for people to post on social media. what we choose to judge and make fun of must have taken them a lot of courage to put out. i’m not going to act like i haven’t been there, laughing my head off at someone’s content, simply because i could. but when you’re on the other side, you can feel your body turn hot, palms turn sweaty, and a feeling of discomfort looming around.

i think it’s wonderful how the time and age we’re in allows us to make short-form videos with our favorite music and edit it the way we like. its wonderful what people can achieve from this simple tool, the emotions they elicit, and the engagement they garner.

but today, of all days, i understand the courage, the reassurance and the anxiety that goes behind putting content out. and its wonderful how they don’t let the anxiety win.
